right now, but another storm is moving in. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm carolyn johnson. we have team coverage for you. heather ishimaru is monitoring slide conditions in san mateo county and alan wang is in santa rosa whenner they are bracing for more -- rosa where they are bracing for more heavy weather there. >> and now sandhya patel with a look at what is coping next. >> what is coming next is a slow-moving soaker for the bay area. let's go to live doppler 7hd right now, and i will show you what it looks like from that perspective. we have very light, spotty showers showing up around cloverdale. most of the activity is long gone. we have two more storms coming. the other is getting close to the bay area and the last in the series will arrive over the weekend. we will start with storm number two. tomorrow morning at 5:00 a.m., north of santa rosa and it is really light rain, and the rain stays north of there until 1:00 p.m. when it starts to shift southward. really by 5:00 p.m., it begins to move in across the coastal areas, the heaviest rain is focused in ukiah. that's not where t

the bay area. good evening, everyone. i'm carolyn johnson. >> i'm dan ashley. it is sandbag season in the bay area, and the downpour could hit so hard and so fast that some areas could see flash floods. >> we are expecting three storms in the next five days. clogged storm drains could of course cause flooding. abc7 news meteorologist sandhya patel is here now with when the first will hit. sand jaw in. >> as we check out live doppler 7hd, we are seeing the first signs of the storm across the northern california coastline. as you can see on live doppler 7hd, it is going to get in here in the morning, and as we show you our area right now, the moisture is just to the west. it is the leading edge of the storm we are watching. computer animation shows that the rain begins at 2:00 a.m. and the winds are kicking up over the higher elevations. 30 to 35 miles per hour, but the strongest wind and the heaviest rain during the 5:00 a.m. hour really continues. 8:00 a.m. it is still going pretty stormy and could see some thunder right on through 10:00, 11:00 in the morning behind the front. it w

grim. good evening, everyone. i'm carolyn johnson. >> i'm dan ashley. tonight a man who fell into a quarry full of water is presumed dead. it is happening near the rock ridge shopping center. john alsto in is there live with the latest latest on this. >> reporter: they are suiting up and getting ready to go into the water. they will be going in to begin the first underwater look at possibly finding this gentleman. it is not far from where this accident happened. if you look over here there is a tall cliff that goes right into the quarry about a hundred feet above the water. those homes are up near the montgomery street side, and that is where the man apparently fell earlier this evening. we have video from a short time ago. this started at about 7:15. the man was apparently looking for his cat and flipped off that -- sliped off the cliff into the ravine where the water is filling the quarry. his friend found a flashlight, but did not find him. initially he thought hein a hol. in a hole. the alameda county dive team came out and the search and rescue came out to look for him. the chp

series of 3 storm systems. good evening everyone i'm carolyn job son. dan is off tonight. let's check in with sandhya with a look at the approaching storms but first fog for a morning commute. sandhya. >> yes. that fog is already dropping visibility right now. let's check out live doppler 7 hd and you will see what it looks like. not only fog but high clouds moving in up above check out the visibility. it is down to 3 quarters of a mile in napa. foggy in fairfield concord down to 2 and a half miles. same thing for novato. santa rosa visibility 3 miles right now. we are headed towards a morning of area of dense fog and then check out the pacific. the storm lined up. 3 storms that are developing in the pacific. they will hit the bay area with heavy wind and rain at times. i'll be back with the timing of the systems in just a few minutes. >> all right sand why thanks. >> the fogy weather may have been a factor in a deadly crash that claimed the life of 14-year-old girl riding her bike to school this morning. pickup truck collided with the teen at jefferson avenue andal immediate a

thanksgiving. >> dan has the nature off. that fire began in apartment building on willow leaf drive after 8 tonight. lillian joins us live with the very latest. lillian? >>reporter: larry firefighters say this fire started in the roof attic area. these are 2 story town homes. part of the kimberly wood apartment complex and crews are mopping up. fire department got the call at 8:30 p.m. they say it appears the cause may related to a fireplace. flames most intense in the roof attic area of one unit. total of 4 units are said to be destroyed by either flames smoke or water damage and at least 10 people have been displaced from their homes. we spoke to man who rush to get his wife and kids out of the house after neighbor pounded on the door alerting them that the fire. his unit is one of the 4 destroyed. >> my 11-year-old daughter she's really sad. sad destroyed and all that stuff. >>reporter: thoughts on this happening on thanksgiving? >> that it's really bad feeling but if you are looking at the other side we are thankful that we are okay. nobody got hurt. we'll figure it out tomorrow. tomo

a man stuck for hours in a drainage pipe. good evening. i'm larry beil. >> and i'm ama dates. dan and carolyn have the night off. the rescue effort is going on right now on fitzgerald drive in pinole. alan wang is live on the scene with the latest. >> ama, we are here at the best buy in pinole, and that guy is still stuck in the drainpipe about 20 yards up the hill behind me. firefighters from pinole and the surrounding area are using shovels to dig up the pipes and possibly using heavy machinery to break into it. it started around 8:00 tonight when a customer here at the best buy in pinole heard the faint voice of a man calling for help. at first they couldn't figure out where it was coming from. and then they tracked it to a storm drain. the security guard at best buy said the man was sleeping in the pipe which is slanted at a 50 degree angle, and somehow he sliped so far down they could only hear him faintly calling for help. jay been able to make physical and verbal contact with him. we tried to lasso his hands, but he is tightly in there. we are excavating the drainpipe right

gunbattle shuts down 580. sky 7hd is live overhead right now. i'm dan ashley. >> i'm carolyn johnson. police found two cars with cars with a number of bullet holes, but no victims. certainly been a busy night for oakland police in addition to the freeway shooting they also found a body on the ground at seemary and hilton. john alston is live near the scene of the shootout where some of the westbound lanes have just reopened. john? >> carolyn, the lanes reopened about 10 minutes ago. it is a good thing because tempers were starting to get the better part of some people who had been parked here in a dead stop for about two hours. sky 7hd is live over the scene where traffic is now sby in t by in two lanes near seminary drive and edwards. it was finally opened up, and now this began at about 8:40 tonight. it was a rolling gunbattle on 580 east involving two cars that ended in a crash near 580 west and seminary drive. two cars riddled with bullet holes. they ran away according to oakland police unknown if any of them are injured. no one has apparently showed up at any hospitals, and there is no
